A joint session of Congress voted in the wee hours of Thursday morning to certify the Electoral College vote, ending President Trump’s bid to overturn the 2020 presidential election.
Vice President Pence then announced the vote totals:
Joe Biden 306
Kamala Harris 306
Donald Trump 232
Mike Pence 232
After a benediction prayer, it was all over.
At the conclusion of the session, White House Deputy Director of Communications Dan Scavino released a statement on Twitter, which he attributed to the president (note: President Trump’s own Twitter account was suspended on Wednesday):
"Even though I totally disagree with the outcome of the election, and the facts bear me out, nevertheless there will be an orderly transition on January 20th. I have always said we would continue our fight to ensure that only legal votes were counted. While this represents the end of the greatest first term in presidential history, it’s only the beginning of our fight to Make America Great Again!"

and considering five states are sending dual sets of electors; there has been some discussion about “The Guarantee Clause” within the constitution and how it might uniquely apply to 2020.
Let us be clear… There is little framework for this type of constitutional issue. This is uncharted territory, and consequently there is no body of law or case study upon which to apply a historic reference.
However ... the issue of Director of National Intelligence, John Ratcliffe, producing a report about foreign election interference could be a fulcrum issue upon which “The Guarantee Clause” of the constitution may apply.
The disqualification of the contested state electors under this argument would ultimately fall upon Vice President Mike Pence who is also President of the Senate and in charge of the January 6th electoral vote certification.

President Trump on Sunday night signed a $2.3 trillion federal spending and COVID relief bill, averting a government shutdown
“I am signing this bill to restore unemployment benefits, stop evictions, provide rental assistance, add money for PPP, return our airline workers back to work, add substantially more money for vaccine distribution, and much more.”
The president on Sunday also invoked the 1974 Impoundment Control Act to demand “rescissions” be made to the spending measures. “I will send back to Congress a redlined version, item by item, accompanied by the formal rescission request to Congress insisting that those funds be removed from the bill.”
Trump claimed there have been concessions from Congress including the Senate voting on $2,000 relief checks, repealing Section 230 and investigating voter fraud. The House will vote Monday on the $2,000 relief checks.
A simple COVID relief bill for American workers is really not a big problem… except it is… because the DC system is not structured around simply helping Americans first.

In “Federalist 68,” Alexander Hamilton urged us to place “every practicable obstacle” against “cabal … and corruption,” which are the “most deadly adversaries of republican government.”
On Jan. 6, Congress can do so: It can strike the electoral votes from states where the contests were irredeemably compromised by fraud, illegal voting, and unconstitutionality.
The Procedure
The Electoral Count Act provides that after the electors in each state and the District of Columbia vote on Dec. 14, they must sign a certificate of their votes that is then sealed and sent to the president of the Senate.
At 1:00 p.m. on Jan. 6, a joint session of Congress convenes, at which the presiding officer opens the states’ certificates in alphabetical order. Each certificate is then presented to “tellers” who read the votes aloud, after which the presiding officer invites objections.
Under the law, objections must be presented in writing and signed by at least one senator and one representative. When a properly made objection is received, the separate houses retreat to their respective chambers for two hours of debate and a vote on whether to count the votes in question.
The chambers must vote separately on each objection. If a majority in each supports the objection, the votes in question are excluded. If the objection garners the support of less than a majority in either chamber, it fails, and the challenged votes are counted. If enough electoral votes are eliminated to prevent either candidate from obtaining a majority, the “contingent election” provision of the 12th Amendment would kick in, leaving the House of Representatives to choose the president —
Each state delegation would get one vote, and as Republicans control 26 of the 50 state delegations, such a scenario would likely result in Trump’s reelection.

On the same day Christopher Krebs, who was the country’s top cybersecurity official during the presidential election (before being fired), testified before the Senate’s Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee about no election interference … according to CBS News Catherine Herridge the Director of National Intelligence, John Ratcliffe, is now saying there WAS foreign interference in the 2020 election. In recent years, the proliferation of digital devices and internet-based communications has created significant vulnerabilities and magnified the scope and intensity of the threat of foreign interference, as illustrated in the 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment. I hereby declare a national emergency to deal with this threat.

(a)Not later than 45 days after the conclusion of a United States election,the Director of National Intelligence, in consultation with the heads of any other appropriate executive departments and agencies (agencies), shall conduct an assessment of any information indicating that a foreign government, or any person acting as an agent of or on behalf of a foreign government, has acted with the intent or purpose of interfering in that election. The assessment shall identify, to the maximum extent ascertainable, the nature of any foreign interference and any methods employed to execute it, the persons involved, and the foreign government or governments that authorized, directed, sponsored, or supported it. William Barr steps down as Attorney General
President Trump announced the departure Monday evening on Twitter shortly after meeting with Barr, ending a tense week in which the president and his allies criticized the attorney general for both failing to reveal the existence of a Hunter Biden probe before the election and taking little public action to punish those who perpetrated the false Russian collusion narrative,
"Just had a very nice meeting with Attorney General Bill Barr at the White House. Our relationship has been a very good one, he has done an outstanding job!" Trump tweeted. "As per letter, Bill will be leaving just before Christmas to spend the holidays with his family."
"Deputy Attorney General Jeff Rosen, an outstanding person, will become Acting Attorney General. Highly respected Richard Donoghue will be taking over the duties of Deputy Attorney General. Thank you to all!" the president added.
In his letter, Barr revealed his last day will be Dec. 23 and that the purpose of his meeting with the president Monday was to brief the president about his department's efforts to investigate voter fraud.
Barr also went out of his way in the letter to decry the "frenzied and baseless" narrative of Russia collusion that hampered the first two-plus years of the Trump presidency.
“Your record is all the more historic because you accomplished it in the face of relentless, implacable resistance. Your 2016 victory speech in which you reached out to your opponents and called for working together for the benefit of the American people was immediately met by a partisan onslaught against you in which no tactic no matter how abusive and deceitful was out of bounds,” Barr wrote.
“The nadir of this campaign was the effort to cripple, if not oust your administration, with frenzied and baseless accusations of collusion with Russia,” he added.

On Dec. 2, President Donald Trump delivered a speech that laid out what is happening to our country at the moment: widespread and well-planned election fraud. As Trump pointed out, this is not about himself, but “about our democracy and the sacred rights that generations of Americans have fought, bled, and died to secure.

Supreme Court's rejection extinguishes one of last hopes for Trump to reverse the election results.
The U.S. Supreme Court on Friday evening rejected the state of Texas' challenge to the 2020 election results in four battleground states, extinguishing one of the last remaining hopes for President Trump's campaign to reverse Joe Biden's lead in those states.
"The State of Texas’s motion for leave to file a bill of complaint is denied for lack of standing under Article III of the Constitution," the justices ruled. "Texas has not demonstrated a judicially cognizable interest in the manner in which another State conducts its elections. All other pending motions are dismissed as moot."

Supreme Court agrees to hear Texas election case suing four states
The Supreme Court has officially put the Texas election case suing Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, filed last night, on the docket:
The State of Texas filed a lawsuit directly with the U.S. Supreme Court shortly before midnight on Monday challenging the election procedures in Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin on the grounds that they violate the Constitution.
Texas argues that these states violated the Electors Clause of the Constitution because they made changes to voting rules and procedures through the courts or through executive actions, but not through the state legislatures.
Additionally, Texas argues that there were differences in voting rules and procedures in different counties within the states, violating the Constitution’s Equal Protection Clause. Finally, Texas argues that there were “voting irregularities” in these states as a result of the above.
Texas is asking the Supreme Court to order the states to allow their legislatures to appoint their electors. The lawsuit says:

Sidney Powell has filed a second election lawsuit, this one in Michigan challenging the outcome of the vote in the presidential election. The lawsuit is brought against Michigan state officials including the governor, the secretary of state, and the state board of canvassers on behalf of three Michigan Republican electors and three Michigan Republican Party officials. In form and function it follows the Georgia complaint that I briefly summarized here.

Trump's legal team made its opening argument to the public
Shortly after noon Eastern Time, some Trump legal team members assembled for a press conference to bring the media up to speed about what Trump’s team believes it can prove in terms of election fraud. For regular American Thinker readers, much of what they said was old news. For the media, though, it was new information, and they were not happy.

.In Pennsylvania, over 100,000 mail-in votes showed up in the system either on the same day the ballots were mailed, the day after, or even the day before.
While the votes for Trump roughly coincided with votes for Republican senators, a statistically unbelievable number of votes for Biden had no relationship to Democrats senators.
In four Michigan counties, the more Republican a precinct, the more people voted for Biden. This pattern created a ski slope line that can occur only if a computer is programmed to steal votes for Trump and apply them to Biden.
In contested states, in the middle of the night, Trump stopped getting any votes and then lost votes or saw them transferred to Biden, another impossibility that can only be accounted for by computer coding.

The chairman of the Federal Elections Commission (FEC), Trey Trainor, said reports of voter fraud in key battleground states are credible.
In a recent interview, he pointed out that Democrat officials removing GOP poll watchers from polling locations is a violation of state law and federal court orders.
“When you have claims of, you know, 10,000 people who don’t live in the state of Nevada having voted in Nevada, you have the video…they’re (poll workers) either duplicating a spoiled ballot there or they’re in the process of marking a ballot that came in blank for a vote,” Trainor explained.
The FEC chief added, he agrees with the Trump campaign’s lawsuits and said their observers were denied meaningful access. Trainor also said questionable actions by the Democrats may render this election illegitimate.
“That’s a process that is to be observed by election observers, the law allows those observers to be in there,” he continued. “And if they’re not then the law is not being followed, making this an illegitimate election.”

Trump campaign attorney Rudy Giuliani appears on NewsMax TV to outline the current state of multiple lawsuits being filed against states who illegally manipulated ballot counting procedures during the overnight hours on election night.
The common thread between 10 regional locations was the processing of mail-in ballots without allowing any republican poll watcher to observe. In addition to Pennsylvania, a pattern emerges within Michigan, Wisconsin, Arizona, Nevada and Georgia. Within those states there are specific areas where the sketchy ballots were assembled and counted.

This election is far from over and we are fighting for a fair accounting of legal votes. After the amazing success by Florida Republicans on Election Day up and down the ballot — which stunned the media and Democrats nationally — the battle goes on in other states and we are jumping in to help.

The American people deserve ample time to know that this race was properly handled — not rushed to a conclusion when multiple states remain in doubt.

As of this writing the indefatigable leader of the MAGA movement gathered 71 million votes for his re-election, and still climbing. Subtract the fraudulent and manipulated ‘mail-in’ ballots from the Biden operation and you have a reality of 71 million MAGA army members staring toward an opposition front containing battalions of cardboard cutouts.
No amount of media spin is going to change the reality of that political landscape.
Regardless of whether Donald Trump’s legal arsenal is able to overcome the entrenched media operations drum-beating a deafening noise to distract from the 2020 fraud, that MAGA army is solidly behind our leader.
