BREXIT: England is back .. and they're Deplorable too

Read it all @ Conservative Treehouseby sundance

Many of us stayed up that night in June 2016 to watch the Brexit referendum vote returns from polling stations across the U.K….  The establishment shock was incredible when they realized the majority of U.K. citizens voted to leave the European union.

The European shock was only second to a similar American establishment reaction five months later when Donald Trump won the November 2016 presidential election.

"I was not elected to do small things or shy away from big problems"

ANALYSIS:  Click on image

Israel may as of next week annex the Jordan Valley and all 150 Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria, i.e. 30% of the West Bank, while the Palestinians would have four years to win an independent state and a capital in East Jerusalem.

That is the substance of President Donald Trump’s vision for an Israel-Palestinian peace as he presented it at the White House on Tuesday, Jan. 28, alongside PM Binyamin Netanyahu, in a striking historic event – even for the critics of its content.

The prime minister stated “I agree to negotiate with the Palestinians on the basis of your plan,” because, he said, unlike all previous peace initiatives, this one strikes a “realistic balance” between Israel’s security needs with recognition of Biblical sites as the bedrock of our Jewish heritage, while also understanding and addressing Palestinian aspirations. All previous plans required Israel’s withdrawal from the Jordan Valley, its vital eastern frontier.

A Vision for Peace, Prosperity, and a Brighter Future for Israel and the Palestinian People

"On my first trip overseas as President, I visited the Holy Land of Israel. I was deeply moved and amazed by what this small country had achieved in the face of overwhelming odds and never-ending threats. The State of Israel comprises only a miniscule amount of land in the Middle East and yet it has become a thriving center of democracy, innovation, culture, and commerce.

Israel is a light unto the world. The hearts and history of our people are woven together. The Land of Israel is an ancient home, a sacred place of worship, and a solemn promise to the Jewish people that we will never again repeat history’s darkest hour. (Applause.)

During my trip to Israel, I also met with Palestinian President Abbas in Bethlehem. I was saddened by the fate of the Palestinian people. They deserve a far better life. They deserve the chance to achieve their extraordinary potential. Palestinians have been trapped in a cycle of terrorism, poverty, and violence, exploited by those seeking to use them as pawns to advance terrorism and extremism.

I returned from my visit determined to find a constructive path — and it’s got to be a very powerful path forward in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. To further this effort, I also met with President Abbas at the White House. Forging peace between Israelis and Palestinians may be the most difficult challenge of all. All prior administrations, from President Lyndon Johnson, have tried and bitterly failed. But I was not elected to do small things or shy away from big problems."

President Donald Trump attends the March for Life in Washington, D.C.

The March for Life's timing is significant as it takes place around the anniversary of Roe v. Wade -- the landmark Supreme Court decision that prohibited states from banning the procedure at certain points during pregnancy.

On the actual anniversary of the decision, President Trump appeared to flout that legacy by declaring it the National Sanctity of Human Life Day.

"Today, I call on the Congress to join me in protecting and defending the dignity of every human life, including those not yet bornI call on the American people to continue to care for women in unexpected pregnancies and to support adoption and foster care in a more meaningful way, so every child can have a loving home."

President Trump at the World Economic Forum | Davos, Switzerland

(Excerpt)

PRESIDENT TRUMP It’s an honor to address the distinguished members of this organization for the second time as President. When I spoke at this forum two years ago, I told you that we had launched the great American comeback. Today, I’m proud to declare that the United States is in the midst of an economic boom the likes of which the world has never seen before.

We’ve regained our stride, we discovered our spirit and reawakened the powerful machinery of American enterprise. America is thriving, America is flourishing, and yes, America is winning again like never before.

Before my presidency began, the outlook for many nations was bleak. Top economists warned of a protracted worldwide recession. The World Bank lowered its projections for global growth to a number that nobody wanted to even think about. Pessimism had taken root deep in the minds of leading thinkers, business leaders, and policymakers.

Yet despite all of the cynics, I had never been more confident in America’s future. I knew we were on the verge of a profound economic resurgence, if we did things right — one that would generate a historic wave of investment, wage growth, and job creation.

I knew that if we unleashed the potential of our people, if we cut taxes, slashed regulations — and we did that at a level that’s never been done before in the history of our country, in a short period of time — fixed broken trade deals and fully tapped American energy, that prosperity would come thundering back at a record speed. And that is exactly what we did, and that is exactly what happened.

The American Dream is back — bigger, better, and stronger than ever before. No one is benefitting more than America’s middle class.

We have created 1.2 million manufacturing and construction jobs — a number also unthinkable. After losing 60,000 factories under the previous two administrations — hard to believe when you hear “60,000 factories” — America has now gained, in a very short period of time, 12,000 new factories under my administration. And the number is going up rapidly. We’ll be beating the 60,000 number that we lost, except these will be bigger, newer, and the latest.

Every decision we make — on taxes, trade, regulation, energy, immigration, education, and more — is focused on improving the lives of everyday Americans. We are determined to create the highest standard of living that anyone can imagine, and right now, that’s what we’re doing for our workers. The highest in the world. And we’re determined to ensure that the working and middle class reap the largest gains.

A nation’s highest duty is to its own citizens. Honoring this truth is the only way to build faith and confidence in the market system.

This is not a time for pessimism; this is a time for optimism. Fear and doubt is not a good thought process because this is a time for tremendous hope and joy and optimism and action.

But to embrace the possibilities of tomorrow, we must reject the perennial prophets of doom and their predictions of the apocalypse. They are the heirs of yesterday’s foolish fortune-tellers — and I have them and you have them, and we all have them, and they want to see us do badly, but we don’t let that happen. They predicted an overpopulation crisis in the 1960s, mass starvation in the ’70s, and an end of oil in the 1990s. These alarmists always demand the same thing: absolute power to dominate, transform, and control every aspect of our lives.

We will never let radical socialists destroy our economy, wreck our country, or eradicate our liberty. America will always be the proud, strong, and unyielding bastion of freedom.

Impeach-Theater Rules - Senators will have to work 6 day weeks, 12 hour days.

Leader McConnell wants to finish this performance in two weeks. The Los Angeles Times doesn’t like this:

The proposed accelerated schedule infuriated Democrats, who saw it as a partisan effort to short-circuit a fair trial and to block Americans from following the historic proceedings.

Click on image to WATCH a video by the  NRSC

  • The hearings are projected to be 12-hours long and six days a week.
  • Each side will get 24 hours (over 3 days) for their opening arguments.

The Senators can’t say anything or get up and leave. They can’t even use their cell phones. How many will fall asleep? Will they bring in magazines? Crossword puzzles? Doodle? They even won’t be able to grandstand and pose for the camera.

  • After the opening arguments, the Senators will have 16 hours to submit questions.
  • There will be four hours for debate and then a vote for witnesses.

One question that looms over the Senate is whether there will be witnesses. The Democrats want witnesses to testify in the Senate that the House couldn’t be bothered to call because they were in a hurry to impeach the president for anything. As you know, conflicts between the executive and legislative branch are often mitigated by the judicial branch. But who has time for court when you want to be able to say you’ve impeached the president?

Stay tuned and get comfortable, it’s going to be a very long week.

Rally for 2A in VA. was peaceful - Police say not a single incident or arrest.

Approximately 22,000 second amendment supporters rallied at the Richmond, Virginia capitol today to petition state government not to infringe on the rights of law-abiding gun owners.

Appearing to cheer for some confrontation or violent outcome, the national media had hyped the event as a massive assembly of “right wing militia groups”; further attempting to inject a racial element around the MLK holiday by proclaiming “white separatists” would be squaring-off against Virginia law enforcement.

It was all fake news.

Curtis Houck from the Media Research Center assembled a montage of CNN and MSNBC media reports from this morning to highlight how the national media attempted to set the narrative.

The Verdict: Democrats - Fake News Media Are Guilty

THE HONORABLE DONALD J. TRUMP, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES, HEREBY RESPONDS:

The Articles of Impeachment submitted by House Democrats are a dangerous attack on the right of the American people to freely choose their President.  This is a brazen and unlawful attempt to overturn the results of the 2016 election and interfere with the 2020 election—now just months away.  The highly partisan and reckless obsession with impeaching the President began the day he was inaugurated and continues to this day.

Click here to read the full answer.

This is the Democrats’ nuclear option—the ultimate weapon—and it has been bandied about as a threat against Trump even before he won the presidency

For Trump-haters, there is nothing he is not guilty of; for his supporters, the entire subject is egregious and defamatory piffle. The opposition to impeachment has drifted gradually toward the president’s side,

So the wall-to-wall Democratic bias of almost all the national media has failed to hold back the tide of perception that these charges are legal and constitutional nonsense.

The Senate Trial begins at 1:00pm Eastern, Tuesday January 21st, 2020. - Read More

Impeach This - TRUMP IS BUILDING THAT WALL

UPDATE:

The Washington Post reported January 13 that President Donald Trump would use his national emergency powers to:

Divert an additional $7.2 billion in Pentagon funding to build a border wall this year. That’s five times the amount of money authorized by Congress for the project in the 2020 budget, according to internal planning figures obtained by The Washington Post.

The Pentagon funds would be extracted from two sources, for the second year in a row, $3.7 billion from one fund for military construction and $3.5 billion from another for counter-narcotic programs. According to the plans, “the funding would give the government enough money to complete about 885 miles of new fencing by spring 2022, far more than the 509 miles the administration has slated for the U.S. border with Mexico.”

🎬 Watch: 100 miles of border wall—and counting

The National Emergency at our border is being addressed without a single Democrat vote in support - and despite leftist judges blocking work at every turn.

A new website “TrumpWallconstrution” went live recently with information on the current progress of the Trump Border Wall. The website includes an interactive map that has information on planning and current work in progress of the prominent sectors of the border wall.

The creator Donald Magnus wrote this as an introduction.

The fake news refuses to cover this in any kind of meaningful way other than shallow 30 second clips or short articles.

The US-Mexico border is 2,000 miles long and I didn’t really understand exactly where the “wall” already was and where the new wall would be built.

So with my interactive map you can see exactly where the wall is being built as well as current “wall”

Impeach This - The United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement

Jan. 15, 2016: The Senate passed the USMCA trade agreement

USMCA Outcome – GM and Ford Shock Over 1,500 Temp Auto Workers with Full-Time Promotions…

One of the key sectors gaining benefit from the USMCA trade agreement is the auto sector.  Rules on steel and aluminum smelting/origination, and rules on part origination from North America are key aspects to the trade agreement that shifts focus from the import of Asian manufactured parts for assembly to manufacturing in North America.

Essentially, seventy-five percent of the component parts for the auto industry must be manufactured in North America.  This shift directly puts U.S. auto-workers at the forefront for job gains & stops the process of using manufactured parts from China, Asia or the EU.

The goal of the agreement was/is to make manufacturing investment in North America the main consideration for auto-manufacturers who want access to the U.S. market.  Today, as a direct result of future investment considerations, General Motors and Ford unexpectedly surprise 1,500 auto-workers with the announcement their jobs have gone from part-time to full-time status.  Great news for these families:

DETROIT – General Motors’ worker Adarrey “Ace” Humphrey was blindsided Sunday. That’s when his life changed.

Humphrey, 27, has been a part-time temporary worker at GM’s Flint Assembly in Michigan for the last three years. On Sunday morning, he and about 250 of his co-workers crowded into UAW Local 598’s union hall. Most thought they were there for a routine meeting.
