Rush Limbaugh died a year ago today, on February 17, 2021. It seems a fitting occasion to remember, in good humor, philosophic levity, and political gravity some of the highlights of his remarkable American life.

Rush was serious about politics, and what enabled him to be as serious as he should be, was his understanding that there were things more important than politics.

Good politics established the conditions for higher things: for freedom of thought, freedom of religion, the flourishing of art, music, literature; the happiness of husbands and wives and fathers and mothers and children in families; the joy of sports of all kinds and of watching sports with friends and rooting for one’s team. Rush’s seriousness, good humor, and joy were direct products of his understanding and appreciation of the freedom to pursue happiness that good politics makes possible.      

This is precisely why every pious liberal is miserable and spreads his liberal misery wherever he goes: because for the pious liberal there is nothing beyond politics. Everything is about power and is reducible to power. As the world has seen with shocking clarity these past two years, the pious liberal will not rest until he controls your every thought, word, and deed.

As Rush said on the air frequently, he wasn’t concerned about what happened to the Republican Party or even to conservatives. He was concerned with what was happening to the country. His conservatism was defending the freedom, interests, and sovereignty of the American people, and he saw that the greatest challenge to doing this was the liberal identity politics of what was once called political correctness and came to be called 'wokeness'.  

“What is it that sets us apart? There is one answer, and it is found in the Declaration of Independence. We are all endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable rights. Because of this, America became the greatest nation in human history.”       

“We are in a battle for the kind of country this is going to be. We’re not in a battle over who is going to win every four years. The battle we are in is literally about will this remain the United States of America as founded.”

Washington Post, New York Times should give back their Pulitzers for Russia-Trump ‘reporting’

With the entire Russiagate affair exposed as a Clinton campaign fabrication (link) it’s the clear duty of The Washington Post and New York Times to give back the Pulitzers they won for “reporting” the fake news.

Clinton campaign cash ordered up the “Steele dossier,” with Democratic operatives providing some of the rumors and a cynical Russian exile asking buddies to supply rank speculation for the rest.

Other Clintonites actually hacked Trump computers, including White House ones after he took office, to create another smear, as Special Counsel John Durham’s latest filing revealed (link).

That’s all there ever was: A Team Clinton scheme to make her e-mail scandal look tame by comparison, and so win the 2016 election, followed by a longer drive to cripple the new president. It was a true “war on democracy,” abetted by the two papers in endless, breathless “reporting.”

Their Pulitzer awards say the papers “dramatically furthered the nation’s understanding of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election and its connections to the Trump campaign.” Now everyone knows they only “dramatically furthered” a smear.

So this is just starting. It’s how you build a criminal conspiracy case .. And here’s the worst part. They secured a “sensitive arrangement” with someone in government to gain access to White House servers. That means someone in government gave them permission and paid the contracting tech executive company’s firm to allow that work to happen. That could only have been done with the utilization of the intelligence community willingly."

Rep. Mike Waltz is blasting NBC for refusing to broadcast an ad critical of China during the 2022 Winter Olympic games in Beijing. “NBC refused to air my Olympics ad with @EnesFreedom unless we censor U.S. corporate logos of the Genocide Games sponsors,” Waltz tweeted, sharing the 30-second ad-footage. "We won’t let them silence us. Here’s the ad that NBC and the Chinese Communist Party doesn’t want you to see."

In the ad, Waltz calls out the Chinese government for its genocide and slave labor. It also shows several U.S. corporations and logo, including Visa, Coca-Cola, Procter & Gamble, Nike, Intel, and AirBnB that he said "are drunk on Chinese dollars" profiting by entangling themselves "with Communist dictators." The six companies shown in the ad are part of the Olympic Partner Programme, and considered the "the highest level of Olympic sponsorship" by the International Olympic Committee.

“The world’s greatest athletic showcase, but just outside the show: rape, genocide, slave labor,” Waltz said in the ad. “American companies are drunk on Chinese dollars, entangled with communist dictators committing atrocities and propping up these genocide games staged by the Chinese Communist Party.”

It's Happening: Canada's 'Freedom Convoy' now includes American Patriots

Yesterday, GoFundMe announced that they would not give the $10 million to the freedom-fighting Canadian truckers that was raised for them on the GoFundMe fundraising platform.

The backlash against the crowdfunding company was fast, massive and direct.  Facing legal action, U.S. state lawsuits and massive charge-back fees from outraged donors contesting refunds through their banks and credit cards, GoFundMe had an overnight change in position: donor funds will not be redirected but refunded automatically in 7-10 days.

GoFundMe has destroyed their business model.  That is the scale of self-destruction chosen by the organization as an outcome of their political decision to freeze and redirect donor contributions of the Freedom Convoy protest. 

That said, GoFundMe justified their decision based on a definition of the Ottawa Freedom Convoy protest as an unlawful “occupation”.  However, the same GoFundMe supported the Seattle “occupation” in 2020 known as CHAZ/CHOP.  

American readers might wonder why conservative Canadian government officials and various State Premiers are not taking legal action. Within the answer to that inquiry, we realize the structural issue of the Conservative Party in Canada.  They are controlled opposition who actually support leftist Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

A new movie from Dinesh D’Souza promises to expose an illegal ballot harvesting conspiracy, complete with never-before-seen video footage showing over 2,000 paid “mules” anonymously stuffing ballot dropboxes while wearing gloves and disguises.

Officers in the thousands packed the boulevard, from curb to curb for blocks — respectfully silent, or as silent as such numbers can be, but eloquently making it clear that for this one day, on this one occasion, they had had enough of being scapegoats for a society lately lacking the self-respect to resist both its criminals and those politicians who protect them 

A grieving sea of Blue lines 5th Avenue say — enough! 

Cop lives mattered outside St. Patrick’s Cathedral where thousands gathered to honor the sacrifice of NYPD Officer Jason Rivera — murdered at 22 in service to a too-often-ungrateful city.
